Description

These Quick Cottage Cheese Buns are soft, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make. With minimal ingredients and no yeast required, they are perfect for a quick breakfast or snack. The cottage cheese adds moisture and a subtle tang, creating a tender crumb with a golden crust.

  • 2¼ cups (500 g) cottage cheese

  • 2¼ cups (280 g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 egg (for brushing)

  • 1 tablespoon water (for brushing)


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.

  • Add Cottage Cheese:
    Add the cottage cheese to the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms. You can use your hands or a sturdy spoon.

  • Shape Buns:
    With floured hands, shape the dough into 8 equal-sized buns. Place them spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Prepare Egg Wash:
    Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of each bun with the egg wash to give a shiny, golden crust.

  • Bake:
    Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through.

  • Cool and Serve:
    Let cool slightly on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
