Description

These soft and chewy cookie bars are loaded with chocolate chips and colorful Reece’s Pieces candies, making them a fun and irresistible treat. With a buttery base and just the right balance of sweetness, they’re perfect for sharing or indulging in on your own!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Reece’s Pieces candies

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Reece’s Pieces candies.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Store the cookie bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • For extra chewiness, underbake by a minute or two, as they’ll continue to set as they cool.
  • You can also add a pinch of sea salt on top for a salted caramel flavor.
