- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup Reece’s Pieces candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Reece’s Pieces candies.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store the cookie bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For extra chewiness, underbake by a minute or two, as they’ll continue to set as they cool.
- You can also add a pinch of sea salt on top for a salted caramel flavor.
