Description

This Restaurant Style Pork Chop with Garlic Sauce is a simple yet flavorful dish that brings the taste of your favorite restaurant straight to your kitchen. Tender pork chops are seared to perfection, then smothered in a rich, savory garlic and ginger sauce. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, stirring constantly until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Pour in the soy sauce and water, stirring to combine. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the pork chops with the garlic sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the pork chops in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Serve with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables to complete the meal.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the sauce during the simmering step.
