Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, etc.)

Instructions

  • Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
  • Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a skillet over high heat and add a little olive oil to the pan.
  • Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.
  • In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and fresh herbs to the skillet to infuse the steaks with flavor.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a perfect sear, make sure your skillet is very hot before adding the steaks.
  • Adjust the cooking time to your preferred level of doneness:
    • For rare, cook for 2-3 minutes per side.
    • For medium, cook for 4-5 minutes per side.
