- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix well, then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 1/4 cups sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- Add the Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.
- Finish the Filling: Mix in sour cream, flour, and salt until fully incorporated.
- Assemble the Cheesecake: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
- Bake: Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Cool the Cheesecake: Turn off the oven, crack the oven door, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- Chill: Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
Notes
- Topping Ideas: For extra flavor, top with fresh berries, fruit compote, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce.
