Description

This New York-style cheesecake is a creamy, smooth, and rich dessert with a perfect graham cracker crust. It’s baked to perfection and chilled for hours, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience that’s ideal for any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix well, then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  • Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 1/4 cups sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  • Add the Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.
  • Finish the Filling: Mix in sour cream, flour, and salt until fully incorporated.
  • Assemble the Cheesecake: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
  • Bake: Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  • Cool the Cheesecake: Turn off the oven, crack the oven door, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  • Chill: Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

  • Topping Ideas: For extra flavor, top with fresh berries, fruit compote, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce.
  • Crust Tips: If you prefer a thicker crust, add more graham cracker crumbs and butter to your mixture.
  • Serving: Make sure to serve chilled for the best texture and flavor.
