Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) cheese tortellini, cooked and cooled
- 1 cup salami, diced (or turkey pepperoni as a substitute)
- 1 cup mozzarella pearls
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup black olives, sliced
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- ½ cup Italian dressing
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook Tortellini: Prepare the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside to cool completely.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, diced salami, mozzarella pearls, cherry tomatoes, black olives, red onion, and basil.
- Dress the Salad: Pour the Italian dressing over the mixture. Add dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese or a drizzle of balsamic glaze before serving.
- If you want to make it lighter, you can use a reduced-fat dressing or swap salami for a leaner protein like grilled chicken.
- Feel free to substitute ingredients based on what you have, like using green olives or adding cucumber for crunch.
