- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Gently stir in the chocolate chunks.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Swirl in caramel sauce on top of each muffin and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense caramel flavor, you can drizzle additional caramel sauce on top before serving.
