A hearty and comforting casserole, this Sausage Green Bean Potato Casserole combines savory sausage, fresh green beans, tender potatoes, and melted cheese into a delicious and filling dish that’s perfect for family dinners or meal prep!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. sausage

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preferred type)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Meanwhile, chop the green beans, potatoes, and onion into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, green beans, potatoes, onion, chicken broth, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and cover with foil.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use Italian sausage or any flavored sausage for added spice.
  • If you prefer a crunchier topping, broil the casserole for 2-3 minutes after the final baking step.
