Description

A savory twist on the classic sausage roll, filled with flavorful ground sausage and a touch of sweetness from pepper jelly. Wrapped in crispy puff pastry, these rolls are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup pepper jelly
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.
  • Place a spoonful of ground sausage onto each square.
  • Top with a dollop of pepper jelly.
  • Fold pastry over the sausage and jelly, sealing edges with beaten egg.
  • Brush tops of rolls with egg wash.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, you can add extra hot pepper jelly or incorporate some chopped fresh chilies into the sausage mixture.
