This creamy Shrimp Lasagna features delicate shrimp layers and a rich, velvety white sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. A comforting twist on the classic lasagna, it’s perfect for seafood lovers and a crowd-pleasing dinner option.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • Spread a thin layer of white sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, shrimp, white sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use cooked shrimp if preferred, though fresh shrimp adds more flavor.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
  • To make this dish gluten-free, substitute the lasagna noodles with gluten-free pasta.
