- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
- Spread a thin layer of white sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, shrimp, white sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use cooked shrimp if preferred, though fresh shrimp adds more flavor.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
- To make this dish gluten-free, substitute the lasagna noodles with gluten-free pasta.
