Description

This Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions is a quick and flavorful dish that combines tender flank steak with colorful bell peppers and a savory sauce. Perfect served over rice or noodles for a satisfying meal!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  • Add sliced flank steak and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well to coat the steak and vegetables.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For added heat, consider including sliced jalapeños or a dash of red pepper flakes.
