Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen corn kernels
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (optional for extra heartiness)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in the chopped onion and bell pepper, and cook until tender.
  • Add the Sauce: Stir in the Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce and frozen corn. If using pasta, add it to the mixture. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Add Crescent Roll Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it over the beef mixture, pinching the seams together to cover the filling.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve: Allow the casserole to cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, you can top the casserole with chopped fresh herbs before serving. This dish is perfect for busy weeknights and is sure to please the whole family!
