Description

This easy and flavorful slow cooker BBQ chicken is perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or even over rice. With a tangy sweetness from the BBQ sauce and a hint of onion and Worcestershire sauce, it’s a simple, hands-off meal that delivers big on taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ recommended)

  • 1/2 medium onion, grated (with juice)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

  • In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, grated onion with juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.

  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts, making sure they are evenly coated.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

  • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir it into the sauce.

  • Serve the shredded BBQ chicken in sandwiches or over rice.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness and tanginess of the sauce by adding more or less brown sugar or BBQ sauce.

  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture.
