- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder

- 1 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 6 egg whites
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving.
