- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for binding)
- 1 egg (optional, for binding)
- 4 whole wheat or brioche burger buns

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, diced red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- If desired, add breadcrumbs and egg for better binding and mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
