Description

These sticky honey garlic chicken wings are a perfect combination of sweet, savory, and umami flavors. The wings are coated in a delicious honey, soy, and garlic sauce, baked to perfection, then glazed for a sticky finish. Garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, they make a fantastic appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  • Place the chicken wings in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and sticky, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
  • In a small saucepan, combine water and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the mixture thickens to form a glaze.
  • Once the wings are cooked, brush the glaze over them and broil for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly caramelized and golden.
  • Serve the wings garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for a finishing touch.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, broil them for a few more minutes after glazing.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • These wings can also be cooked on the grill for a smokier flavor.
