- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the strawberries with sugar until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix together the strawberry puree, heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of salt or use half-and-half instead of milk. This recipe can also be made without an ice cream maker by freezing the mixture in a shallow dish and stirring every 30 minutes until set.
