Description
This homemade Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream is a creamy, refreshing treat that combines sweet, fresh strawberries with the smooth richness of vanilla. Perfect for a hot day or as a decadent dessert, it’s easy to make with just a few simple ingredients and an ice cream maker.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the fresh strawberries with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
- In a large bowl, mix the strawberry puree with heavy cream and milk until smooth and evenly mixed.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes).
- Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to firm up before serving.
Notes
- If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can reserve some of the sliced strawberries and stir them in after churning.
- For a richer flavor, you can substitute part of the milk with additional heavy cream.
- You can also use frozen strawberries for a more convenient option, but fresh strawberries will give a better flavor.
