- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, combine butter and water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Combine 2 cups sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Roll hot cookies in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Notes
- For a stuffed variation, you can add a filling of your choice (chocolate, cream cheese, or dulce de leche) before baking.
- Ensure the cookies are hot when rolling in cinnamon sugar to get the best coating.
