Description

Ingredients

  • 5 cups oyster crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Spread the Crackers: Spread the oyster crackers evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the Coating: In a saucepan, bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and the vanilla extract.
  • Coat the Crackers: Pour the mixture over the oyster crackers, mixing well to coat evenly. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Finish and Serve: Combine the remaining sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle this mixture over the baked crackers. Allow to cool and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar mix.
