Description

These Taco Ranch Bites combine the bold flavors of seasoned ground beef, creamy ranch dressing, and sharp cheddar cheese, all nestled in crispy phyllo tart shells. Perfect for a party appetizer or a fun, bite-sized snack. Easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
  • 1 oz packet taco seasoning (premium brand)
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes and green chiles (undrained)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably aged for a richer flavor)
  • 8 oz bottle premium Ranch dressing
  • 5 packs of 15-count frozen phyllo tart shells

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:

    • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook Beef:

    • In a skillet, brown the ground beef until fully cooked and no longer pink.
    • Drain any excess fat.
  • Add Seasoning:

    • Stir in the taco seasoning, then add the can of diced tomatoes and green chiles (with liquid).
    • Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat.
  • Prepare Mixture:

    • In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing.
    • Combine this with the cooked taco meat.
  • Assemble Tarts:

    • Carefully spoon the taco meat mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells.
    • If you plan to freeze them for later, now is the time to do so.
  • Bake:

    • Place the filled tarts in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
    • If baking from frozen, add an extra 2-3 minutes to the bake time to ensure they heat through properly.

Notes

  • These Taco Ranch Bites are great for making ahead of time. Simply assemble and freeze, then bake them right before serving.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh cilantro on top after baking.
