- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, cinnamon, red pepper, black pepper, salt, ginger, and garlic.
- Place chicken in the mixture. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
- Lightly oil the grill grate. Discard marinade, and grill chicken 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until juices run clear.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier marinade, you can increase the amount of ground red pepper or add cayenne pepper.
- This marinade can also be used for lamb or pork.
- For best results, marinate the chicken overnight to allow the flavors to fully develop.
