Description

This Texas Roadhouse Salmon recipe features tender salmon fillets marinated and cooked in a flavorful butter, lemon, and soy sauce mixture with herbs and spices. Served with a tangy homemade tartar sauce, it’s a delicious and simple dish perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon:

  • 6 salmon fillets (5 oz each)

  • ¾ cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup lemon juice

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, minced

  • 3 tsp dried thyme

  • 3 tsp curry powder

  • ⅓ tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ⅓ tsp black pepper

For the Tartar Sauce:

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • ¾ tsp ground mustard

  • ⅓ tsp black pepper

  • ⅓ tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp green onion, chopped

  • ¾ tsp dried dill

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, soy sauce, basil, thyme, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.

  • Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour marinade over them. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1 hour.

  • Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).

  • Remove salmon from marinade and grill or bake until cooked through and flaky, about 8-10 minutes depending on thickness.

  • Meanwhile, prepare the tartar sauce by combining mayonnaise, lemon juice, ground mustard, pepper, paprika, green onion, and dried dill in a small bowl. Mix well.

  • Serve salmon hot with a generous dollop of tartar sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon longer for deeper flavor, but avoid more than 2 hours to prevent texture changes.

  • Salmon can be grilled, baked, or pan-seared according to your preference.

  • Garnish with fresh basil or lemon slices for presentation.
