Ingredients
For the Salmon:
-
6 salmon fillets (5 oz each)
-
¾ cup butter, melted
-
1 cup lemon juice
-
½ cup soy sauce
-
⅓ cup fresh basil, minced
-
3 tsp dried thyme
-
3 tsp curry powder
-
⅓ tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
¾ tsp salt
-
⅓ tsp black pepper
For the Tartar Sauce:
-
¾ cup mayonnaise
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
¾ tsp ground mustard
-
⅓ tsp black pepper
-
⅓ tsp paprika
-
1 tbsp green onion, chopped
-
¾ tsp dried dill
Instructions
-
In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, soy sauce, basil, thyme, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
-
Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour marinade over them. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1 hour.
-
Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C).
-
Remove salmon from marinade and grill or bake until cooked through and flaky, about 8-10 minutes depending on thickness.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the tartar sauce by combining mayonnaise, lemon juice, ground mustard, pepper, paprika, green onion, and dried dill in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Serve salmon hot with a generous dollop of tartar sauce on the side.
Notes
-
Marinate the salmon longer for deeper flavor, but avoid more than 2 hours to prevent texture changes.
-
Salmon can be grilled, baked, or pan-seared according to your preference.
- Garnish with fresh basil or lemon slices for presentation.
