Description

This comforting and hearty goulash features a savory blend of ground beef, vegetables, and elbow macaroni, all simmered together in a flavorful tomato-based sauce. It’s a quick and easy one-pot meal that’s perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add the elbow macaroni and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until macaroni is cooked.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
  • If you prefer a spicier goulash, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
