Description

A delicious twist on traditional spaghetti, combining savory red sauce, creamy Alfredo sauce, and cheesy mozzarella for a rich and satisfying meal. This viral TikTok recipe brings together the best of both worlds: hearty spaghetti and indulgent alfredo.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Red Sauce:

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 cup onion, chopped
    • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
    • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
    • 1 1/2 (24-ounce) jars spaghetti sauce

    Pasta:

    • 1 tablespoon salt (for pasta water)
    • 16 ounces spaghetti

    Alfredo Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups heavy cream
    • 1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese (grated)
    • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Red Sauce:
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then stir in the spaghetti sauce. Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package directions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture begins to thicken.
Stir in the grated parmesan and shredded mozzarella. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  • Combine:
In a large mixing bowl or directly in the pan, combine the cooked spaghetti, red sauce, and Alfredo sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta in both sauces.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef and a lower-fat cream for the Alfredo sauce.
  • Feel free to add extra vegetables like mushrooms or spinach to the red sauce for added flavor and nutrition.
  • The red sauce and Alfredo sauce can be made ahead of time for an easier meal.
