Description

This Tres Leches Bread Pudding is a creamy, indulgent dessert made with French bread soaked in a rich mixture of three types of milk. Topped with whipped cream and fresh berries, it’s the perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream and fresh berries for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the French bread into small cubes and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, sugar, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
  • Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes, making sure the bread is fully soaked in the liquid.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
  • Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, top with whipped cream and fresh berries for added flavor.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can add a drizzle of caramel sauce over the top after serving.
  • Letting the bread cubes soak in the milk mixture for a few minutes before baking helps achieve the perfect texture.
  • This bread pudding can be made a day ahead and refrigerated for a firmer texture.
