Description

These easy, soft pretzel bites are made with just two simple ingredients: self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Quick to prepare and deliciously chewy, these pretzel bites are the perfect snack for any occasion. Customize with your favorite seasonings or serve with mustard or cheese sauce for dipping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1 ½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, full-fat, or low-fat)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make the dough: In a large bowl, mix the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a dough forms. If using all-purpose flour, add the baking powder and salt to the flour before combining with the yogurt.
  • Knead the dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 1-2 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the bites: Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bite-sized balls or strips. Shape into pretzel bites or mini pretzel shapes.
  • Bake: Place the shaped dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Optional finishing: For a more authentic pretzel flavor, brush the bites with melted butter immediately after baking and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  • Serve: Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as mustard or cheese sauce.

Notes

  • You can make the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours.
  • To make these bites extra flavorful, experiment by adding garlic powder, onion powder, or a pinch of sugar to the dough.
  • These pretzel bites are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
