- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

- 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
- 2.5 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons of dairy-free chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar or dairy-free frosting for decoration
- Red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped baking mold or line it with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the ground flaxseed and water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to form a flax egg.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and flax egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
- Add a few drops of red food coloring if desired and stir to incorporate.
- Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped mold, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely before removing them from the mold.
- Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar or top with dairy-free frosting for decoration.
