Description

These festive Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies are packed with both white and dark chocolate chips, and topped with colorful holiday sprinkles. They’re soft, chewy, and perfect for spreading holiday cheer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles (red and green)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and holiday sprinkles.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, slightly underbake them and allow them to cool on the baking sheet.
  • You can also use milk chocolate chips instead of dark chocolate chips for a sweeter taste.
  • These cookies are perfect for holiday gifting or cookie exchanges.
