- For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- For the Chocolate Layer:
- 1 cup chocolate ganache (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownies
- For the Chocolate Drizzle:
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the sour cream, Baileys Irish Cream, and vanilla extract; continue beating until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Set aside.
- Assemble the Trifle:
- In the bottom of a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer 1/2 cup of the crushed chocolate cookies or brownies.
- Spread 1/2 cup of the chocolate ganache over the cookies.
- Add half of the cheesecake mixture on top of the ganache.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies or brownies, chocolate ganache, and cheesecake mixture.
- Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle:
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the trifle.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.
