Indulge in layers of creamy Baileys chocolate cheesecake and rich chocolate ganache, all topped with a luscious chocolate drizzle. This decadent dessert is perfect for special occasions!


Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cheesecake Layer:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup heavy cream
  • For the Chocolate Layer:
    • 1 cup chocolate ganache (store-bought or homemade)
    • 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownies
  • For the Chocolate Drizzle:
    • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
    • Add the sour cream, Baileys Irish Cream, and vanilla extract; continue beating until well combined.
    • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Set aside.
  • Assemble the Trifle:
    • In the bottom of a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer 1/2 cup of the crushed chocolate cookies or brownies.
    • Spread 1/2 cup of the chocolate ganache over the cookies.
    • Add half of the cheesecake mixture on top of the ganache.
    • Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies or brownies, chocolate ganache, and cheesecake mixture.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle:
    • In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
    • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the trifle.
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the trifle to set.
