- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 (12 oz) package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
- 1 (8 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips, melted for drizzle
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and Bailey’s Irish Cream, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the Bailey’s cream cheese mixture.
- In another bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk according to package instructions.
- To assemble the trifle, layer the bottom of a trifle dish or individual glasses with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
- Add a layer of the Bailey’s cream cheese mixture over the cookies, followed by a layer of chocolate pudding.
- Repeat the layering process until the dish is full, ending with a layer of Bailey’s cream cheese mixture.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top layer, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Before serving, top with a generous swirl of whipped cream and an extra drizzle of chocolate.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, replace Bailey’s with an equal amount of heavy cream and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. This trifle is perfect for a luxurious dessert at your next gathering.
