Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8 count)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a skillet, cook and crumble the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and place them in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  • Layer the cooked sausage over the biscuits.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and biscuits, ensuring even coverage.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the cheddar cheese with other cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • If you want a spicier casserole, add some hot sauce or crushed red pepper flakes to the egg mixture.
  • This casserole can be made ahead of time. Assemble it the night before, cover it with plastic wrap, and bake it the next morning.
