Instructions

  2. Make the Sauce: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the marinara sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh chopped basil to develop deep, vibrant flavors.
  3. Combine the Cheeses and Pasta: In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the cooked ziti with ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Stir carefully to evenly coat pasta with the creamy cheese mixture without breaking the pasta.
  4. Assemble in Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
