Instructions

  • Prepare the Chocolate Cake:
    • Follow the instructions on the box to bake the chocolate cake. Allow it to cool completely, then cut it into small cubes.
  • Prepare the Peanut Butter Cream:
    • In a large bowl, beat the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
    • Fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
  • Prepare the Banana Cream Pudding:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
    • Fold in the whipped cream until smooth and creamy.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
    • Place the chopped semisweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
    • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Assemble the Trifle:
    • In a large trifle dish or individual dessert cups, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of chocolate cake cubes.
    • Next, add a layer of peanut butter cream, followed by a layer of sliced bananas.
    • Add a layer of banana cream pudding and then a layer of crushed chocolate cookies.
