Description

Experience a burst of flavors with this Italian Sub Sandwich. Loaded with salami, ham, provolone cheese, and an array of fresh vegetables, all topped with Italian dressing, this sub is a satisfying and delicious option for a quick lunch or snack.

  • 1 Italian sub roll or hoagie roll
  • 4 slices salami
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bread: Slice the Italian sub roll lengthwise, but not all the way through, so the sandwich remains connected.
  • Layer the Meats: On the bottom half of the roll, layer the salami, ham, provolone cheese, and pepperoni.
  • Add the Veggies: Top the meats with black olives, red onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini peppers, and shredded lettuce.
  • Add Condiments: Drizzle Italian dressing over the veggies. If desired, spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of the top half of the roll.
  • Assemble the Sandwich: Close the sandwich, pressing down slightly to compact the ingredients. If you prefer, you can toast the sandwich in a preheated oven or a panini press for a warm, crispy finish.
  • Serve: Cut the sandwich into halves or thirds and serve immediately.

Notes

For an added kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or hot sauce inside the sandwich. This Italian sub is perfect for a quick lunch or a delicious snack!
