Description

This savory dish features tender chicken breasts topped with a flavorful mushroom and cheese mixture. The mozzarella and parmesan cheeses melt to perfection, creating a deliciously creamy topping. Ideal for a comforting dinner!


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are tender.
  • Return chicken to skillet and top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any mushrooms of your choice, such as cremini or button mushrooms.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a splash of white wine to the mushroom mixture as it cooks.
