This sizzling steak fajita recipe features tender flank steak, colorful bell peppers, and onions, all seasoned with a flavorful fajita mix. Served on warm flour tortillas with your choice of toppings, it’s a crowd-pleasing dish that brings the heat to your table.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet fajita seasoning
  • Flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the flank steak for 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest.
  • Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced red and green bell peppers and onion. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • Slice the Steak: While the vegetables cook, slice the rested flank steak thinly against the grain.
  • Combine Steak and Vegetables: Add the sliced steak back into the skillet with the cooked vegetables.
  • Season: Sprinkle the fajita seasoning over the steak and vegetables. Stir to combine, allowing the seasoning to coat the mixture evenly.
  • Serve: Serve the sizzling steak fajitas on warm flour tortillas, with optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or shredded cheese.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some sliced jalapeños to the vegetables.
