For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Loaded Mashed Potatoes:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Fried Cabbage:

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • For the Wings:
    • In a large bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Coat the chicken wings in the flour mixture.
    • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
    • Fry wings in batches for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • For the Loaded Mashed Potatoes:
    • Boil potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
    • Mash potatoes with milk, sour cream, and butter until smooth.
    • Stir in cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • For the Fried Cabbage:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
    • Add shredded cabbage and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Season with caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
